Community Night Out June 27 from 6:00 to 8:30 PM

The Union Township Supervisors along with local civic clubs, civic groups, first responders, and other interested community organizations have come together to plan a Community Night out. Our goal is to give our community a chance to become more familiar with our local clubs, civic groups, first responders and other community organizations with the hope of gaining more memberships to these groups. This event will be held on the grounds at the Union Township Community Center.

Organizations attending are: Belleville Fire Company, Belleville Lions, Belleville Civic Club, Belleville Fire Police, Big Valley Ambulance Club, Central PA Clinic, Big Valley Thrift & Gift, Village Pride, VFW Post 5935, Valley View Retirement Community, Visit Big Valley, Juniata River Valley Visitors Bureau, Mifflin County Regional Police, Kerry Benninghoff, State Represetative, Judy Ward, State Senator, Mifflin County Commisioners, Union Township Supervisors, Joe Bonson & Coffee Run and Peachey’s Soft Serve Ice Cream.

We are providing this event free to the community, including activities for the kids with a petting Zoo and free Hot Dogs, ice cream, chips and soda. Meet our local officials, clubs and service volunteers. All are welcome and encouraged to attend. Please bring your own chairs for the entertainment.

Zoning and permits

Union Township has a zoning office and zoning officer to answer your questions and issue zoning permits as well as assist your in sub division and land development issues. The zoning officer has regularly schedule office hours every Tuesday from 8:00 AM until Noon. He may be reached by calling or e-mailing the office. Meeting Schedule

The Board of Supervisors meets the first and third Monday of the month. The first Monday meeting is at 6:00 PM, except September when it meets the day after Labor day Tuesday Sept 3rd also at 6:00 PM. The third Monday of the month meetings are all at 1:00 PM. This meeting schedule gives everyone a chance to get to a meeting and address any business they have without having to miss work or schedule off. Anyone having business before the board and wishes to be placed on the agenda, may do so by calling or e-mailing the township manager with their request. If you have no particular business, you are welcome to come and watch the meeting and offer your input during the public comment section of the meeting.
